Betty Shindler’s real estate career began almost thirty years when she joined the Houston real estate firm Shindler/Cummins, Inc. Working alongside her late husband, company founder Jim Shindler, Betty assisted the company in all of its primary areas of expertise: residential and commercial properties, property management, and property development.
Betty KNOWS Houston and real estate and has a passion for them both. From assisting buyers to find their dream home to guiding sellers through the process of marketing and selling their home, Betty is dedicated, professional and cares about each and every client. “My clients become life-long friends,” Betty says, “and that’s one of the nicest parts of this business.”
A hard, diligent worker, Betty is experienced, enthusiastic and energetic. She ranks organization and communication as two of her greatest strengths, allowing her to focus on her clients’ goals and keep them fully informed. According to Betty, “buying a home is perhaps the most important and single largest purchase many people will ever make. For that reason alone, my clients deserve 100 percent of my attention and expertise – and that is exactly what they get.”
Every day is a gift, according to Betty. She believes in giving back to the Houston community and has been an active supporter of the march of Dimes Foundation, Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, The Museum of Fine Arts, The Moore’s School of Music at the University of Houston, and other philanthropic organizations. Betty is a member of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church.
When not working, Betty, a high-rise condominium resident, spends as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren. She enjoys leisure hours at the beach or in the mountains, exercises, reads and listens to music.
